My hubby and I come here often for date nights on a weekday or occasionally for someone's birthday. It's centrally located and across from the Harkins Movie Theater where we love watching movies. We really enjoy the happy hour at Shiki and my favorite drink there is the Mai Tai, but otherwise I'm a tequila girl. We usually sit at the bar for our date nights before watching a movie. Two weeks ago I ordered a tequila soda water and a baked salmon roll. My hubby ordered a teriyaki entrée that comes with miso soup, salad and white rice too, but we upgraded to the house fried rice to share. We love us some fried rice and I normally eat the miso soup lol. Other than long wait times when having a large party, service has always been good in all of our experiences there. We've done all the dining experiences they have to offer too! When they're busy it may take a little longer for the food to come out, but it's worth the wait. I love their ramen as well. I will update with another visit soon!

My wife and I had lunch here. We got the chicken teriyaki rice bowl and the sushi lunch California. The bowl is very filling, as is the sushi lunch plate. I really enjoyed the sushi; it was very good. The presentation of the food is also very aesthetic and well-presented. There weren't many people when we went, so our service was really good, we had no wait time, and the food was delicious. The prices are reasonable, especially since the plates are well-served. This is a place we plan to visit again.

The sushi was subpar at best. It was flavorless and I ordered rolls that were $17 and $18. Total waste of $. The avocado was brown IN EVERY ROLL! No freshness, quality or flavor. Even the ginger was browning, and ginger is not supposed to be yellow with a tint of brown. I am highly disappointed for rolls costing so much but being of terrible quality. Besides the bad overpriced rolls, the service was excellent, and it’s decorated nicely and it’s clean enough.

We waited approximately 30 minutes for our table. Got to seating area and waited about another 30 minutes. Finally, the chef arrived. He cooked and served a couple that was seated after us and another party. My daughter-in-law ordered a drink with a strand of hair on the lime. The fried rice was good, but it would've been nice having it with my steak, which was served last. Our server was great, refilling the drinks. Sadly, I wasn't impressed with food or service.
